Janet Esteves has likely paid the salaries of numerous Disney Cast Members many times over.  Since 1971, Esteves has been collecting memorabilia featuring Mickey Mouse.  In fact, not a room in Janet’s Palm City, Florida home is sans  a Mickey.  Or ten.

In 1971, Janet’s mother brought home a porcelain figuring of Mickey and Janet became enamored with his smile.

Since then her collection has grown to 2, 760 pieces strong – and counting.  From shower curtains to snow-globes, Music boxes to dishes.  What do you buy for the Mickey enthusiast that has everything?  That is indeed a touch query to answer.  You could search days in the house that Mickey Merchandise built and not find a duplicate item.  Good news for Janet, Disney is pretty good about plastering the Big Cheese’s face on everything and anything.

Janet’s husband Jose may have been hornswaggled into loving the Mouse.  Not wanting to be left out, Jose has amassed a tiny Mickey army of his own.  His drug of choice: Mickey in Star Wars attire.

It may be the few pieces Janet does not care for.  Why?  Because Mickey’s smile that Janet fell in love with 40 years ago is replaced with a menacing scowl.  What is a Mouse suppose to do when pitted against the meanest baddies in the galaxy?

Despite Jose collection leading to what we can imagine to be some odd marital battles, he will continue to seek out new Mickey/Star Wars pieces.  Everybody needs a vice, right?
