What could have been – The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

We recently came across some of the original concept art for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

This is one of the earliest known conceptual drawings of what was then called Harry Potter Island.  This was created by a member of Universal Creative when the rights to the Potter franchise were being negotiated.

The tree-trunk structure was known as the Enchanted Oak, and if this plan was laid over the site-map, would have occupied the spot where the Three Broomsticks sits.

What do you think of this drawing vs. the constructed Hogsmead design?
