  1. Even the best comedians make stand up seem like a dead artform. It's preposterous for someone to go on stage and say things and think anyone should give a fuck.

  2. I'm trying to watch this special as I write this comment. I'm not offended by the political views because I myself am a Trump-hating liberal. That being said, fuck is this excruciating to watch. It's all long-winded, boring, joke-free setups that end in punchlines that are gently funny at best interspersed with political rants that prioritize making a point over being funny.

I know people will delude themselves into thinking this is a great standup act because they love Arrested Development and David Cross was the fourth funniest cast member, but this special is straight up unwatchable.

  3. There were funny bits when he actually had punchlines. The rest were liberal talking points masquerading as punchlines that I've seen used endlessly on The Daily Show and Colbert.

  4. Honestly the people who didn't like the standup are either easily offended or don't understand Cross's brand of humor. To the latter group, I dare you to go try some similar material at an open mic. You'd get booed off. Taking social commentary to those depths and ultimately making people laugh takes some pretty incredible skills, and that's what David Cross is good at. To the former group, yeah you're gonna get alienated, so if the worst thing in the world to you is being offended, rather than holding hypocritical and toxic views, then you should probably watch something else. All that said, if you GET Cross's brand of humor, this is one of his best sets.

  5. This was disappointing. It was fun for about 25 minutes and then crashed in a flaming explosion of liberal carp. Trump jokes for the easy socially polite chuckles and then on to the tired gun debate. David Cross, make your jokes great again.

  6. David Cross is a fucking retard. Prime example of a leftist moron who have zero original thoughts. Nothing but a Crooked Hillary's puppet.
    Make America Great Again!
    VOTE T R U M P !

  7. I had hopes, but it's the same political / religion bashing. Which is annoying, since EVERY comic does those same things. Just like Patton Oswalt – he goes on a political rant or a "christians are ridiculous" speech and the funny just melts away.

  8. THE ONE LINERS AND THUS THE WRITING ON AD WAS UNPRECEDENTED AND NO UNSURPASSED, SOMETIMES (SOMETIMES) MODERN FAMILY (APPROPRIATELY INITIALED MF) GETS CLOSE AND IS PRETTY SNAPPY WITH THEIR WRINTG
