That’s Payne-ful! One Direction star Liam ‘swiftly deletes’ cringe-worthy brag about travelling by private jet ‘while the rest of y’all’ go on planes
He’s believed to be worth £54million, thanks to his success in X Factor-formed boyband One Direction.
But even Liam Payne couldn’t get away with a shameless brag about travelling by private jet on Wednesday in New York.
In a cringe-worthy post, which was swiftly deleted by the 24-year-old, Liam wrote: ‘You can only get jet lag from a jet the rest of yall have got plan lag #NOF***KS’
Liam’s picture – which shows him reclining on a plush bed with his middle finger up, appeared on Instagram for long enough to garner 161,333 likes.
And even though the picture was deleted, screengrabs of the post ended up going viral on Twitter with some users taking issue with his use of the phrase ‘yall’ – a contraction commonly used in the US – and others seeing the irony in his ‘no f***s’ hashtag.
A representative for Liam Payne has been approached by MailOnline for comment.
The Wolverhampton-born musician is in New York while he’s promoting his new single with Rita Ora.
And he has not been going quietly, thanks to an array of bold style choices used to get him noticed in the city.
The singer paired them with matching red and white trainers, a leopard-skin zip-up hoodie and a distressed denim jacket.
Despite the late hour and lack of sunlight, the singer of course finished the outfit off in a pair of shades.
On Tuesday, he had been dressed in a pair of red jogging bottoms featuring the Mona Lisa.
On arrival at Z100 Studios on Wednesday, the 24-year old pulled a Blue Steel expression made famous by Ben Stiller’s fictional fashionista Derek Zoolander.
Sporting a casual blue T-shirt over grey wash jeans, Liam looked typically casual ahead of his latest promotional appearance on The Elvis Duran Z100 Morning Show.
A distressed denim jacket gave his look an edgy flourish, while smart Nike trainers and striking Gucci man-bag rounded things off.
With his cropped hair covered by a jaunty baseball cap, Liam was in high spirits as he made his way towards the studio, offering bystanders a peace sign before disappearing inside.
The singer was joined by collaborator Rita Ora, who sported a slate grey denim two piece, featuring a belted jacket and high-waisted flared trousers.
Earlier this month, the former One Direction star admitted balancing fatherhood with his music career can often be a struggle, with the star even likening his efforts to those of a superhero.
He confessed: ‘I’m technically Superman at this stage. No, it’s difficult, I’ll be serious with you, it is difficult, so I do miss my son from time-to-time when I’m away.’
Though he admitted knowing he has Cheryl as a mother eases his upset.
He said: ‘I know he’s got the best mum in the world and Cheryl is on my mind as well and she’s absolutely amazing. So you cope as well as you can.’
