  1. Even if he doesn't himself believe in such concepts, I think I see a shine of triumphant nobility in Solf, he is a remarkable individual in his raw will, and his sheer consistency.

  2. The idea of a logical and honest psychopath is just so fascinating and another example of FMA's excellent character writing.

  3. Welp… that might explain why I really liked him as a character. Because I do believe that all people are selfish hypocrites…

  4. Brilliant and beautiful video.
Kimblee might just be the realistic factor that is needed in some more series, but in here he – as you said it – balances out. He softly forces a mirror in people's faces while being sadistically violent for his own sake. The truths he speaks may be hidden in the other characters minds but as in real life nobody ever wants to tell them out loud.

  5. this was an incredibly insightful break-down of the character and gives me so much respect for you, him as a character, the series, and the author, you've earned my sub today by a landslide

  6. I've never actually watched the dub, but watching this video I don't really like kimblee's VA. He sounds overly malicious when in reality kimblee should sound cool, calm and rational.

  7. I noticed you used 'psychotic' interchangeably with 'psychopathic' at 2:08, which is defined as "a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality". That's quite the opposite of a psychopath who cuts through idealism to see the world for what it unless he's really high or something. But ignore how easily distracted I am, I really enjoyed your video (actually all of your videos) and can't wait for more.

  8. Ya know, you say he's an underrated character, but he was one of my favourite. Third favourite villain in fact. And he is because of most of the qualities of his that you outlined.

  9. You didn't mention the part that made him my favorite character in the series. That he never forgets those he kills because he'll be damned if he lets them become nothing more then a mere statistic.

  10. I love how people are able to disect this series like a leading novel
It shows not only passion but why and how people are passionate about it.
Its not just a story, its art
